    The Fine Arts School for Children from the municipality of Cahul is an artistic education institution with a rich and recognized history, founded on August 1, 1960 by Gheorghe Guzun, a graduate of the prestigious "Ilia Efimovici Repin" Fine Arts School in Chisinau, currently College of Fine Arts "Alexandru Plămădeala".

    Over time, the Fine Arts School trained approximately 2,000 students, who, after graduation, continued their studies in various educational institutions in the Republic of Moldova, becoming visual artists and members of the Moldovan Visual Artists Union. Many of the graduates have established themselves as teachers in Fine Arts Schools, Colleges of Arts and higher education institutions, practicing fine arts both in the country and abroad.

    The students of the school have actively participated in local, national and international level art competitions, obtaining prestigious awards, gold medals, grand prizes, first places, second places, third places and certificates of merit. The School of Fine Arts is also a dedicated organizer of the " Punct Vernal " Contemporary Art Exhibition, the "Autumn Elegy" Visual Arts Exhibition and the "Viereana" International Fine Art Competition.

    The duration of studies at the School of Fine Arts is 5 years, during which students learn the main areas of fine arts, including drawing, painting, easel composition, decorative composition, sculpture and art history. The school also offers "Digital Graphics" courses for children from the age of 11, where they learn to use digital tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and Corel Draw.

    The school program is adapted to the needs of the students and is structured as follows:

    • Class I: 4 years of study, with 3 days a week
    • Class 0: 1 year of study, with 2 days a week

    In addition, the School of Fine Arts provides a solid foundation for the development of children's creativity and encourages them to explore art in various ways. Students are taught by qualified teachers passionate about art, who guide them in the process of artistic discovery and expression.

    Within the school, children can acquire essential practical and theoretical knowledge in the field of fine arts, contributing to the development of their artistic skills and the formation of a long-lasting aesthetic taste. The School of Fine Arts is a bridge to a career in art and offers real opportunities to develop one's artistic potential.  

    timetable is adapted to the needs of the students, offering them flexibility in the learning process:

    • Monday - Thursday: 14:30 - 17:40
    • Friday: 14:30 - 18:30
    • Saturday: 09:00 - 13:00

    Teaching language: Romanian and Russian

    Registration period: May 1 - June 15

    For a successful school year, students are asked to make sure they have the necessary supplies, including:

    4. Simple pencils H, HB, 2B, 5B
    5. Folders with drawing paper - A4 and A3 formats
    6. Folders with watercolor paper - A4 and A3 sizes

    8. Notebook for the History of Arts
    9. Pen
    10. Black gel pen
    11. Plasticine for sculpture
    12. Plates for sculpture - 15x20 cm
    13. Carving templates

    15. Napkins or cloths

    The School of Fine Arts offers the opportunity to pay the tuition fee either monthly, in the amount of 125 lei, or annually, in the amount of 1125 lei.
