Why Cahul has many weightlifting champions

The Weightlifting School in Cahul was and remains an institution with history, which educated and educates champions. In the modern history of weightlifting in the Republic of Moldova, the disciples of the school from Cahul, Alexandr Bratan, Evghenii Bratan, Anatolie Cîrîcu and Tudor Bratu are among the best athletes.

Now the Weightlifting School is educating a new generation of weightlifters, and among the great hopes are 2 sisters. Alina and Daniela Mierla are 15 years old, and have been practicing the sport for about 3 years.

They are trained by another disciple of the school – Maria Scripcenco.
