The Cahul Chess Circle, since 2016, is a special place for all lovers of the art of chess in the Cahul district. Here meet young people and adults, aged between 7 and 65, all sharing the same passion for this art of the mind. Chess, practiced at our center, is much more than a game; it is an art and a mental challenge that always challenges and teaches us new things.

The game of chess is a real mental workout. It stimulates strategic thinking, develops focus, promotes quick and responsible decision-making, and teaches children to handle pressure in competitive situations. In addition to all these aspects, chess develops emotional intelligence, teaching children to assess the consequences of their actions and adapt to changes in the game. All of these skills are extremely valuable throughout life.

Participation in chess championships and cups is a crucial step in a player's development. These competitions are a challenge and motivation for kids to develop their skills and test their strategies against other talented players. They provide a springboard to excellence and an opportunity to learn from diverse experiences in the field. Participating in chess competitions not only inspires young people to become better players, but also gives them a unique insight into a world where every move counts.

Our chess club is proud to actively participate in regional, national and international competitions and tournaments where our students have distinguished themselves with top places in their categories. We enjoy promoting values such as focus, perseverance and fair play and seeing how the passion for chess unites people of all ages in a united community.

We are also the organizers of the "Mayor's Cup" Chess Tournament and other prestigious chess events, which gather passionate players from all over the country. This marks our commitment to promote chess and unite the chess community across the country.

Here, every move is a step forward towards success and personal development. We look forward to you being a part of this adventure of the mind!

To mention: The hours of activity are established in September, depending on the formation of the groups, according to the age of the beneficiaries.
