    "M.Cebotari" School of Music

Founded in the summer of 1954, our musical institution has been a beacon for talented young people from southern Moldova, offering them a platform for development and expression. Over the decades, the school has evolved and adapted, becoming renowned in the field of arts education.

In 1994, it received the name "Maria Cebotari School of Arts," thus honoring one of the most prestigious personalities of lyrical art of all time. With various specializations, such as music, visual arts, theater and choreography, the institution has trained numerous professional musicians who have made significant contributions to the development of the cultural life of the Republic of Moldova.

In 2021, we went through an important transformation, becoming the "Maria Cebotari Music School," with an increased focus on the musical field. Our educational offer includes two profiles, with learning options for 5 or 7 years, depending on the age at enrollment.

    1. The music profile includes studies of instruments such as piano, violin, accordion, guitar, tambourine, saxophone, trumpet, clarinet, flute, but also music theory, solfeggio, choir and ensembles/orchestras.
    2. On the other hand, the Dramatic Arts profile explores theater arts, acting skills development, stage movement, theater history, speech art, musical instrument and singing.

Our school offers a conducive environment for artistic expression and participation in various collectives, such as folk instrument ensembles, violin, accordion, wind instruments, children's choir "CAPRICCIO," violinist ensemble "ALLEGRETTO," folk ensemble and orchestra.

Recognized locally, regionally, nationally and internationally, our school can boast of exceptional results at numerous competitions and festivals in Bulgaria, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Prague, Kyrgyzstan, Italy, Spain, Moldova, Turkey, Romania, adding numerous leading awards to his record.

The institution has adequate resources, including 28 partially technically equipped offices, function hall, library, storage areas, sanitary blocks, as well as a spacious newly paved courtyard and four separate entrances to the buildings.

At the same time, the music school is the organizer of the National Instrumental Music Competition "7 Musical Notes." This competition attracts talented young people from all over the country, being a special platform for students of music schools from all over Moldova to demonstrate their skills and passion for music. It is an event that not only encourages artistic excellence, but also promotes unity and cultural exchange among students from various regions.

In early 2021, we successfully completed the building renovation process with the generous support of the Embassy of Japan and Cahul City Hall. This process included replacing the roof, thermal and facade insulation, upgrading the heating and lighting system, as well as significant interior repairs, thus ensuring an optimal environment for artistic development and education.
