Sports School No. 1 was founded in 1951 and currently represents a specialized educational institution that offers children and young people the opportunity to develop their sports skills in a wide range of disciplines. Our core mission is to promote sports education, identify and train young sports talent to compete locally, nationally and internationally.
The activities carried out within the school include sports disciplines such as volleyball, basketball, table tennis, aerobic gymnastics and sports dances. They provide an excellent platform for developing sports skills as well as acquiring essential values such as team spirit, discipline and perseverance.
It is also important to mention that the Sports School No. 1 houses a special mosaic, made in 1989 by the artist GA Hadjioglov, originally from Ukraine. This artwork is a panel made up of five stylized compositions with a sports theme, made with enamel (melted glass with colored pigments). It adds a touch of color and inspiration to our venue and reflects our commitment to promoting sports and cultural values.
